The Mandela Effect Lie
The Mandela Effect is a conspiracy theory claiming TIME TRAVELERS went back in time and changed words in the Bible (amongst other things). Those who believe this lie do not know the scriptures (even though they'll say they do) nor do they know the power of God. If they did, they would know God is in control and would never allow such a thing. They’d also know His Word is INCORRUPTIBLE and CANNOT PASS AWAY. And, He promised to preserve it from generation to generation, FOREVER.
(1 Peter 1:23) Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of INCORRUPTIBLE, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth FOR EVER.
(Matthew 24:35) Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words SHALL NOT PASS AWAY.
(Psalm 12:6-7) The words of the LORD are PURE WORDS: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. THOU SHALT KEEP THEM, O LORD, thou shalt PRESERVE THEM from this generation FOR EVER.
Those who believe the lie will use Matthew 9:17 and say it once said “wineskins” instead of bottles. They will also use Isaiah 11:6 and say it once said “the lion shall lie down with the lamb”, instead of the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb. I’ll explain their error on both accounts.
ACCOUNT 1.
(Matthew 9:17) Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.
They claim it once said “wineskins” because supposedly glass bottles didn’t exist back then. However, Jesus was speaking of CLAY bottles. NOT glass bottles. He was comparing clay bottles to people because God made humans from CLAY. We are clay vessels used for the new wine. Wineskins wouldn’t make sense in this context.
ACCOUNT 2.
(Isaiah 11:6) The WOLF also shall dwell with the LAMB, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young LION and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
It’s true that Jesus is the lion of the tribe of Judah and He is the lamb of God, BUT the Bible never said “the lion shall lie down with the lamb”. People THOUGHT it said that.
1.) The context of Isaiah 11:6 is when Christ returns to bring peace on earth -a time when predators and prey get along. It says the WOLF shall dwell with the LAMB because wolves and lambs are enemies. But when Christ returns, they’ll get along. That’s the whole point of the verse. It won’t make sense for a lion to dwell with a lamb because they’re not enemies. And, if the lion and the lamb both represent Christ, that would mean Christ is the enemy of Christ. That also makes no sense. Plus, if the lion and the lamb both represent Christ, how can Christ lie down with Christ? That also doesn’t make sense.
2.) Over the years of CONSTANTLY hearing “lion and the lamb”, “lion and the lamb” and seeing pictures of lions lying down with lambs, people ASSUMED, that’s what it said. It never did! The masses repeated what they heard but never checked it out for themselves. And now, because of the “Mandela Effect Lie”, they’re confused.
3.) The words “lion” and “lamb” exist in Isaiah 11:6, so it’s understandable, how, over time, with a faulty memory, and lack of Bible reading, and constantly seeing pictures of lions lying with lambs, how some could have rearranged the words of that verse in their mind thinking it said: “the lion shall lie down with the lamb”.
4.) Here’s a question: If “the lion shall lie with the lamb” changed to “the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb” WHY, do we still see pictures of lions lying with lambs? During the supposed “time travel shift”, when words and reality changed, pictures should have also changed. We should now only see pictures of wolves lying with lambs. But we don’t! It’s still lions lying with lambs. The conspiracy theory isn’t consistent, which is proof it’s a lie.
The Mandela Effect is just another trick from the Devil to make people doubt the Bible. Nothing more. God, however, is Faithful and full of Truth. He would never allow his Word to change, or get corrupted. We can trust His promise to preserve His Word FOREVER and it shall NOT pass away.
